At International Fence and Railings, we don’t mass-produce—we handcraft. Every project is a unique collaboration between our clients and our team of skilled welders, blacksmiths, and artisans. Whether you’re a homeowner, builder, or designer, we tailor each step of the process to deliver architectural metalwork that’s timeless, precise, and personal.
Design Review or Site Visit
- If architectural drawings/renderings are provided, we create an initial estimate based on those specs.
- If not, we schedule a site visit to take measurements and better understand the project’s requirements.
- For clients who don’t yet have a design, we offer creative direction, custom sketches, and concept development.
Estimate & Client Approval
Once the scope is clear, we provide a detailed estimate. After approval, an initial deposit is collected to secure materials and initiate the production timeline.
Final Site Verification
Even when quoting from drawings, we always conduct an on-site measurement verification before fabrication begins. This ensures the final product is installation ready.
Artisanal Fabrication
Unlike mass-production shops, our fabricators are true craftsmen. Each piece is shaped, forged, and welded by hand using:
- Traditional blacksmithing methods
- Shear machines, manual tools, and jigs
- Meditative, detail-focused welding practices
CNC and laser cutting are used only when project-specific precision requires it. Otherwise, it’s the hands of our artisans that define every line, curve, and joint.
Finishing & Coating
Depending on the project’s application:
- Galvanizing is used for outdoor durability and corrosion protection
- Powder coating is applied for an ultra-durable architectural finish
- In-house painting and finishing are done for select pieces, including patinas and custom treatments
Each item is hand-inspected, ground, and perfected before it ever leaves our shop.
Installation
Our installation team delivers and installs with care, professionalism, and precision. We coordinate with site supervisors or directly with clients to ensure everything is completed seamlessly and on schedule.
For gates, installation is a two-phase process:
- Phase 1 – Structural Install: The gate frame and posts are installed first by our fabrication team to ensure perfect alignment, level, and structural integration with the surrounding architecture.
- Phase 2 – Automation & Technology: Once the gate is in place, our automation technicians return to install and program the motors, sensors, keypads, or remote access systems. We test all equipment on-site and walk you through operation and maintenance.
